5 star ANCAP safety rating
The Staria has been awarded the maximum 5 star safety rating by ANCAP,
Australasia’s independent
voice on vehicle safety. The 5 star rating has been achieved under ANCAP’s 2020-2022 protocols,
the
most stringent to-date. The Staria scored well across all areas of assessment, with full points
awarded in the side impact test for both adult and child occupants and for the driver in both
the
full-width frontal and mobile progressive deformable barrier (MPDB) tests. It provides a
comprehensive set of safety features, offering head and chest-protecting airbags, a centre
airbag,
Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA), and a lane support system (LSS) as standard.
Surround View Monitor (SVM)*
The Surround View Monitor makes manoeuvring in confined spaces easy and safer
with a full three-sixty-degree view of the exterior of the Staria Limited.
Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM)*
Now you can see the rearward left- and right-hand side views of the all-new
Staria Limited on a screen in the digital cluster. The cameras are activated
by the use of the turn indicator during lane changes.
Lane Keeping Assist
If driving above a certain speed and the driver leaves a lane without the
turn signal switch being operated, LKA provides a warning. When a lane
departure is detected, LKA automatically assists with steering to help
prevent leaving the lane.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
The all-new Staria features Lane Following Assist (LFA). When activated, it
keeps the car centred in its lane at speeds between 0 and 180 km/h on
motorways and city streets.
Safe Exit Assist (SEA)
SEA on the Staria Limited prevents the door from opening in a situation where
a passenger attempts to open the power sliding door while a rear-side
vehicle is approaching. Regular models have a warning system instead.
When reversing out of areas with low visibility, the system not only warns
you if vehicles approach from the side – it also applies the brakes
automatically.
Rear Occupant Alert (ROA)
Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) helps to alert you if a rear passenger is left in
the car after you exited the vehicle.
Blind-spot Collision Avoidance assist (BCA)
Using two radar sensors in the lower rear bumper, BCA warns you of traffic in
the blind spot area. Should you set the turn signal in such a situation, it
will warn you and brake to prevent a collision.
Forward Collision Avoidance assist (FCA)
The FCA system automatically brakes when it detects sudden braking by the car
ahead or detects pedestrians or cyclists in your path.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) provides a warning to the driver
if any tires are low on air pressure giving you ample warning time of any
issue.
Haptic steering wheel
The steering wheel haptic function is linked to the ADAS warning function,
allowing a more intuitive response.
